How To Remove Ads in Kindle Lock Screen – Kindle is one of my favorite device for reading book. I use kindle paper white which for me more than enough to read for long time without make your eyes suffer and of course without so many distraction. I bought my kindle paper white around 3 years ago and first thing I do (beside setup) is remove lock screen ads.
I don’t have too much problem with ads but I don’t really like someone gave something I didn’t like (back then I rarely read on Amazon so I don’t blame them for poor recommendation).
So there are two ways to remove lock screen ads. First contact Amazon Support and second do it your self from your Amazon Account.
- Contact Amazon Support
First you can contact Amazon Customer Service either by phone or via chat and tell them that you want to remove lock screen ads on your Kindle. They will ask some question regarding your removal reason and after some time they will tell you to re-open your Kindle and your ads is gone.
Overall process just took under 10 minutes. I prefer this way because anyone can do it (it’s super easy, just call customer service on Amazon) and of course it’s free. 😀 - Remove Ads From Amazon Account
Another way to remove ads from your kindle lock screen is by remove it from your Amazon Account. First you need to log in into your Amazon Account and navigate to Manage Your Content and Device then click on Device and choose your Kindle device. In device summary you’ll see Special Offers click on Remove Offers.
You will get notification that removing offers will cost you several bucks (yes they will charge you from removing ads). Approve it then re-open your kindle.
Well for me I prefer first method because it simpler and free. But if you under any circumstances unable to contact Amazon Support Service and still want to remove ads and comfortable with cost (it’s about $20) then go for second way.
I hope this helpful. 🙂
